Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks a Service Sales Representative to expand Automated Logic’s customer base and exceed sales targets. The role is field-based, with local travel to client sites around Wallingford, CT, and beyond.

You will balance service renewals with upsell opportunities and collaborate with engineering teams to translate client needs into solutions.

Scope of Position

As a Service Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in expanding Automated Logic’s (ALC) customer base and consistently exceeding sales targets. We are seeking a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at consultative relationship-building, and delivers exceptional customer service. In this role, you will establish strategic business relationships that drive outside sales performance while gaining hands‑on experience to build a successful, long‑term sales career.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Service Sales Professional supporting various Outside Sales activities and customer relationship management for Automated Logic. Responsible for supporting the company’s interests and establishing business relationships to enhance outside sales performance. This position is field-based, candidates must reside in or near Wallingford, CT, to accommodate regular local client visits.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or completion of an accredited trade/technical school program
• 1+ years of B2B or direct sales experience
• Ability to travel locally to client sites and facilities as required by job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial or Construction engineering, Business, or Accounting,
• 3+ years of HVAC controls or building automation sales experience.
• Proven sales or hands‑on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, commercial construction, electrical, or plumbing trades.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, mechanical drawings, and system schematics.
• Ability to convert complex technical features (e.g., BAS integration, air quality controls) into compelling financial and operational value propositions for clients.
• Experience uncovering upsell opportunities for add‑on solutions, including remote monitoring tools, software analytics platforms, and retrofits.
• Proficiency using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, manage recurring contract renewals, and maintain accurate revenue forecasts.
• Skill in navigating long sales cycles, managing pricing discussions, and securing long‑term service agreements with building owners and facility managers.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, from C‑suite executives to facility engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to work alongside field technicians, project managers, and engineering teams to identify service leads and execute client handoffs.
• Strong organizational skills to balance high‑volume administrative contract tracking with proactive sales outreach and client visits.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
