Carrier, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks a Service Sales Professional for Automated Logic. This field-based role supports Outside Sales and customer relationship management, requiring residence in or near Indianapolis, IN for local client visits.

Responsibilities include generating service contract renewals, identifying value-added services, educating clients on new products, onboarding new customers, and maintaining CRM-driven forecasts with engineering teams

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or completion of an accredited trade/technical school program.
• 1+ year of experience with HVAC Controls, Building Automation, Commercial HVAC, Blueprint Drawings/Design layouts, or the Construction industry.
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Generate service contract renewals and support recurring revenue streams.
• Identify opportunities to offer value-added services, such as remote monitoring, analytics platforms, or system upgrades.
• Educate clients on new products and services within the automation portfolio.
• Assist in onboarding new customers or transitioning from installation to service agreements.
• Track service contracts, warranties, and maintenance schedules.
• Report on service sales pipeline and forecast revenue.
• Develop and pursue new sales opportunities through provided leads while expanding sales in existing accounts.
• Work closely with technical teams (engineering, field technicians) to understand service requirements and relay customer needs.
• Maintain accurate CRM while reporting service sales, pipeline and forecast revenue.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet customer expectations.
• Customer service mindset with a sales-driven approach.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Service Sales Professional supporting various Outside Sales activities and customer relationship management for Automated Logic. Responsible for supporting the company's interests and establishing business relationships to enhance outside sales performance. While this position is field-based relative to our main office, candidates must reside in or near Indianapolis, IN, to accommodate regular local client visits.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
• Proven sales or hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, commercial construction, electrical, or plumbing trades.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, mechanical drawings, and system schematics.
• Ability to convert complex technical features (e.g., BAS integration, air quality controls) into compelling financial and operational value propositions for clients.
• Experience uncovering upsell opportunities for add-on solutions, including remote monitoring tools, software analytics platforms, and retrofits.
• Proficiency using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, manage recurring contract renewals, and maintain accurate revenue forecasts.
• Skill in navigating long sales cycles, managing pricing discussions, and securing long-term service agreements with building owners and facility managers.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, from C-suite executives to facility engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to work alongside field technicians, project managers, and engineering teams to identify service leads and execute client handoffs.
• Strong organizational skills to balance high-volume administrative contract tracking with proactive sales outreach and client visits.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
