Qualifications

• One to two years of relevant experience or completion of an apprenticeship/internship.
• Ability to obtain a valid Missouri Class B CDL with airbrakes.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Operate refuse trucks to collect refuse, recyclables, yard waste, and bulk waste.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with snow removal operations.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Skills

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a dedicated and safety‑focused Service Route Operator to join our Environmental Services Department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our community receives efficient, reliable solid waste collection along established routes.

What You'll Do

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
• Operate refuse trucks to collect refuse, recyclables, yard waste, and bulk waste
• Clean, deliver, and assemble refuse and recycling containers
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of vehicles and equipment
• Assist with snow removal operations
• Provide excellent customer service and complete related duties as assigned
