Job summary

Pacific Supply in San Rafael, CA is hiring a Service Representative/Yard Material Handler to support day-to-day warehouse operations. You will receive, store, load, and distribute building materials, assist walk-in and call-in customers, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately in a fast-paced yard environment.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, operate basic warehouse equipment, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse/yard/retail customer service experience preferred.
• Forklift experience and certification preferred (training provided).
• Ability to lift 100 pounds repeatedly during shift.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems preferred.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment (training provided).
• Load and unload materials safely, including up to 100 lbs.
• Ensure accurate inventory counts and material organization.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone with product inquiries, orders and returns.
• Process quotes, orders, and returns using POS and inventory systems.
• Maintain yard and sales area cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate deliveries or product availability with internal teams and vendors.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• May drive company vehicles to support deliveries if qualified.

Job Description

As aService Representative/Yard Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, loading, and distributing building materials as well as providing outstanding service to walk-in and call-in customers. You will support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensure orders are processed and fulfilled accurately, and maintain a clean and organized yard and counter area. This role requires physical stamina, customer service skills, and attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup.

• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed).

• Load and unload materials safely, including heavy items up to 100 lbs.

• Ensure accurate inventory counts and material organization.

• Assist customers in person and over the phone with product inquiries, order placement, and issue resolution.

• Process quotes, orders, and returns accurately using point-of-sale and inventory systems.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the yard and sales area.

• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate deliveries or product availability.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• May be required to drive company vehicles (if qualified) to support deliveries.

Job Requirements
