The University at Buffalo is seeking a Service & Repair Mechanic (Motor Equipment) in the Campus Operations department. You will perform skilled mechanical work for fleet maintenance, repair, and overhaul of gasoline, diesel, and alternative-fuel equipment.
Field work may be required for routine maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities include diagnosing repairs, maintaining engines and hydraulic systems, performing safety inspections, and potentially supervising staff.

TheUniversity at Buffalo is currently seeking a Service & Repair Mechanic (Motor Equipment) within the Campus Operations department. In this role, you will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical work within the fleet maintenance shop in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of gasoline, diesel-powered, and alternative fuel self-propelled and non-self-propelled motor-driven equipment. May perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on disabled vehicles, construction, and other equipment in the field.

Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. May transport materials and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus utilizing provided tools.
Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical tasks, including frequent work in various weather conditions.
Driving Requirements Driving is not a required duty for this position. Employees who choose to operate university vehicles for business purposes must be enrolled in the LENS program to verify a valid Class D driver’s license.
Salary Range $52,694
