Job summary

Tri-State Bobcat is seeking a Service & Rental Advisor at our St. Croix Falls location to own daily service and rental operations.

You will coordinate workflow with technicians and other departments, manage estimates and work orders, and build strong relationships with contractors to grow our local business. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in equipment service or rental operations, excellent customer service and communication skills, and a business-minded approach.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and teams.
• Experience in service/rental operations is preferred; leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service and rental operations, including scheduling, workflow, equipment availability, and customer needs
• Manage service work from customer intake through completion, including estimates, work orders, customer communication, quality checks, and invoicing
• Coordinate with technicians and other departments to prioritize work, resolve issues, and maintain efficient operations
• Manage rental activities, including quotes, equipment recommendations, contracts, inspections, returns, and fleet availability
• Monitor rental fleet condition and utilization, coordinating maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment availability
• Build relationships with contractors, businesses, and other customers to generate repeat service and rental business
• Identify opportunities to grow sales across equipment, parts, service, and rental offerings
• Monitor branch performance and implement improvements to efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability
• Set daily priorities, hold team members accountable, and address operational challenges while fostering a collaborative work environment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility and ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
• Participate in manufacturer training and ongoing development to stay current on equipment, rental products, and industry practices

Compensation: $26-$31/hour | Expected annual earnings of $62,000-$74,000, based on experience and overtime
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM | Overtime after 40 hours

Tri-State Bobcat is looking for a Service & Rental Advisor to take ownership of daily service and rental operations at our St. Croix Falls location. This hands‑on role focuses on efficient operations, strong customer relationships, team accountability, and growing the branch's service and rental business.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in equipment service, equipment rental, dealership operations, or a related field; leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of equipment, service processes, rental operations, and customer needs
• Ability to take ownership, make sound decisions, and manage competing priorities independently
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship‑building skills
• Business‑minded approach with the ability to identify opportunities to grow sales and improve operations
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CDK, Intellidealer, or similar dealership software is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate and move equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent
