Job Description
** Summary:**
The Service Porter / Valet supports the service department by greeting customers, moving and parking vehicles, and ensuring the dealership’s service area is clean, organized, and efficient. This role helps create a positive customer experience while maintaining smooth service drive operations.
** Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Greet all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude; answer questions and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
- Determine if customers have service appointments and record customer name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and note any existing vehicle damage (walk-around).
- Move and park vehicles on dealership premises to maintain a smooth traffic flow.
- Drive vehicles to and from the service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
- Keep the lot, driveways, and sidewalks clean, organized, and presentable.
- Provide excellent customer service and direct guests to the correct personnel.
- Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up, deliver vehicle, and thank customers.
- Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all vehicles.
- Assist the service department as needed, such as replenishing fluids or minor vehicle assistance.
- Follow all company safety policies and report any accidents immediately to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles (or willingness to learn if required).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.
_ Preferred Qualifications:_
- Previous experience as a porter, valet, or in a similar automotive or customer service role.
- Familiarity with dealership operations or service drive processes.
