Job description

The Jimmy Britt Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is a family oriented company dedicated to our employees and customers. We are seeking a Service Porter for our Service Department who is reliable, friendly, and able to assist our service team in the transporting of vehicles around our dealership while maintaining the organization of our service department.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean customer vehicles in advance of a customer taking delivery of their vehicle post-service
2. Present customer vehicles after maintenance to ensure it is in a satisfactory condition for our clients
3. Assist in the driving of customer and dealership automobiles
4. Help maintain service lane and lot appearance
5. Help maintain a safe and organized workspace
6. Communicate with Service Management to facilitate vehicle placement, presentation, and delivery
7. Drive vehicles to and from services areas and lot as needed
8. Communicate with Management regarding vehicle condition and re-conditioning needed
9. Oversee the inspection of vehicle condition prior to returning it to customers
10. Ensure vehicles are washed/gassed as needed
11. Follow all safety and security procedures
12. Perform other duties as requested

Requirements:

1. Driver’s License with clean driving record
2. High school diploma or GED preferred
3. Quality communication skills
4. Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
5. Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
7. Dependable, respectful, friendly, and logical
8. Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
