Position Overview

The Service Porter is responsible for supporting vehicle maintenance and service activities. Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with service write-ups and tagging customer vehicles
2. Removing protective coverings and ID tags from vehicles before delivery
3. Inspecting vehicles for stains, debris, and damages, and reporting issues immediately
4. Transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed
5. Performing vehicle deliveries and pickups
6. Cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles
7. Maintaining the dealership lot in an organized manner
8. Returning vehicle keys to the appropriate personnel
9. Picking up and delivering vehicles to storage or other locations
10. Collecting parts from the Parts Department
11. Testing batteries of customer vehicles
12. Maintaining dealership grounds and assisting with shop cleanup

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6-12 months of previous work experience (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand written instructions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate machinery safely
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate an automobile
