Job summary

Charlie Clark Auto Group in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Service Porter to support the service department by moving vehicles, delivering customers, and assisting technicians and service staff. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED or related experience and a valid Texas driver's license.

You will help maintain clean, safe work areas and follow applicable regulations. The position offers opportunities to work closely with customers and colleagues, contributing to efficient service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License (must be insurable and ability to drive a standard transmission).

Responsibilities

• Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
• Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
• Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance
• Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

Service Porter

The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of a service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
• Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
• Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance
• Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices

Education and/or Experience
