Lamarque Crescent Ford - Truck in Harahan, LA is seeking a Service Porter to keep the service facility and customer areas clean, assist in moving vehicles, and support daily dealership operations.

The role emphasizes a fast learner with a positive attitude who can handle diverse cleaning duties, vehicle movement, and parts disposal while maintaining a safe and well-maintained facility.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness of entire Service facility including but not limited to: Service facility Bays, removing oil, water and other liquids from floor surface; Service Department common areas and walkways making sure they are safe; Dealerships grounds, including weed removal and light landscaping work as needed
• Clean up of any general spills throughout the dealership
• Wash and clean exterior and interior of the dealerships new, used and service vehicles when requested
• Helping the Parts Department as needed dealing with disposal of trash/scrap parts
• Cleaning and upkeep off all restrooms on premises, including toilets and floor
• Maintenance and disposal of all trash containers and their contents
• Removal and disposal of all old parts/cores from the mechanic’s service bays
• Keeping all dealership parking lots and parking areas clean of any trash and debris
• Making sure the buildings and all vehicles are secure at time of closing
• Delivering and Picking up customer’s vehicles from designated locations
• Dropping off or retrieving vehicles from other facilities
• Picking up parts that are needed to repair vehicles that are being serviced by our facility
• Shuttle/Transport customers to and from their desired locations when dropping off
• Moving customer vehicles from the service lane and retrieving them again when picking up
• Any other task asked of you by Management within the normal scope of an employee of the Lamarque Crescent Ford organization

Job description

The Service Porter position is for a self-motivated individual that does not like to have idle time. Yet it is for someone that constantly likes to be moving while helping maintain the overall appearance of the dealership. Whether it is keeping the shop, customer areas or the outside property clean or moving the dealerships/customer’s vehicles from one part of the facility to another. The person applying for this role as a Service Porter needs to be a fast learner with a positive attitude who wants to be part of a team in this very vital role of the dealerships success.
