Job summary

Avondale Nissan is seeking a Service Porter to join its Service Department. You will greet service customers, prep vehicles for service, and coordinate with advisors while maintaining the lot and keeping a clean work area.

We offer competitive pay ($17.00 per hour) and a benefits package with medical, dental, vision, and more. A valid driver's license and a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Passion with helping customers.
• Punctual, and ready to be part of a great team.
• Keep vehicles and lot areas looking their best.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Safely drive and maneuver a variety of vehicles.
• Previous dealership or automotive experience, but we'll train you!
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome service customers.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Identify the service advisor with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when the customer pays their bill or as the advisor directs.
• Maintain the parking lot.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist the Service Receptionist with incoming telephone calls.
• Assist Shuttle driver when needed.
• Perform multiple clerical tasks as assigned by service management.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
