Job summary
Kotz Heating and Air in Waterford MI seeks a Service Plumbing Apprentice to join our residential service team. Earn $20.00–$30.00 per hour, with paid training and growth opportunities. Work Mon–Fri with some overtime, and enjoy company benefits and strong earning potential.
Ideal candidate has 6 months+ plumbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn under a master plumber. We offer stable full-time hours and a supportiveteam environment in a family-owned company.
Qualifications
- 6 months+ experience in residential plumbing or combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
- Valid plumber’s apprenticeship card, or acquire once employed.
- Ability to use standard plumbing tools including snakes, augers, drills, saws, hammers, measuring tape, levels and screwdrivers.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Physical labor capability for extended periods.
- Ability to consult on customer complaints and provide beneficial solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Willing to work in all types of weather.
- Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
- Residential service and installation plumbing.
- Performing installations, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems.
- Maintain, repair, and service a variety of fixtures and equipment.
- Use plumbing tools such as snakes, augers, drills, saws, hammers, measuring tapes and levels.
- Consult with customers to provide solutions that benefit both customer and company.
- Training provided for career growth including riding along with a master plumber.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience + Spiffs
Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime

- Using plumbing snakes, augers, drills, saws, hammers, measuring tape, levels and screwdrivers
