Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Service Plumber to perform routine plumbing tasks on commercial and residential sites.

You will read blueprints, install and repair pipes, and work with other trades to ensure quality and customer satisfaction on every project. Requires 3–5 years of experience, backflow certification (or working toward), ability to read drawings, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' light commercial and/or residential plumbing experience or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Backflow certified (or working towards certification)
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems and installation

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, equipment, and fixtures per standards and codes
• Assist, pump out, maintain pits, and perform pump truck maintenance
• Test pipes and fixtures for leaks using water and air
• Safely cut, thread, glue, solder, braze, and slope pipes
• Provide guidance to apprentices/helpers
• Install hangers and supports for plumbing systems
• Perform other duties as assigned
