Job summary

Orange EV, a fast-growing manufacturer of electric vehicles, is seeking a Service Parts Assembly Technician in Kansas City to build, assemble, and test components per drawings and work instructions.

You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and ensure quality and safety while supporting continuous improvement in the manufacturing process. This role requires physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is highly preferred.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, production, or assembly environments.
• Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate digital work instructions, electronic records, and proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Position Summary

The Service Parts Assembly Technician is responsible for building, assembling, and testing components or products according to technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This includes using hand tools, machinery, and measurement devices to ensure parts fit and function correctly while meeting quality and safety standards. The role involves inspecting finished assemblies, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues to help maintain efficient manufacturing workflows and support continuous improvement efforts.

Position Responsibilities

• Assemble electric vehicle components for field technicians.

• Ability to identify defects, diagnose assembly issues, and perform basic repairs.
• Effective verbal and written skills to work with team members and report issues.
• S trong hand-eye coordination for manipulating small parts and performing repetitive tasks with precision
• S trong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office 365, navigate electronic drawings and diagrams, and communicate effectively through email and Teams.
