Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Simsbury, CT is seeking a Service Operator on 1st Shift to support production. You will ensure production cells are stocked with materials and help with pack-out of finished products for shipment or storage.

You will maintain safety, quality, and delivery while coordinating with the material control team and following packing instructions. The role requires a High School diploma and the ability to read English, with a continuous improvement

• Complete hazardous waste disposal tasks per guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate with material control on movement of product to/from warehouses.

Job Description

The Service Operator is an important member of the team that supports the production of our products. This position ensures manufacturing cells are stocked with materials needed for production and completes pack out of finished product for shipment to customers or movement into storage. Service Operators are responsible for safety, quality and delivery in the handling and shipment of products for the EBADAerospace and Defense markets. This role will report to the Production Supervisor of Linear & Transfer Systems in our Simsbury, CT location on 1st Shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production cells are stocked with the materials needed for production each day
• Pack and label product for shipment to customers in accordance with Packing Instructions / Specifications
• Ensure finished product is properly packed and moved into storage warehouses within 5 days of completion of manufacturing / customer source inspection
• Maintain traceability of hardware during packing process
• Complete hazardous waste disposal tasks in accordance with guidelines and regulations
• Coordinate with material control team on movement of product to and from warehouses
