Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Simsbury, CT is seeking a Service Operator to support our production workflow. You will ensure manufacturing cells are stocked with materials and you will complete packing of finished products for shipment or storage.

This role emphasizes safety, quality and on-time delivery, with responsibilities including labeling, traceability, waste disposal, and coordinating with the material control team to move products between warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production cells are stocked with materials needed for production each day.
• Pack and label product for shipment to customers in accordance with Packing Instructions / Specifications.
• Ensure finished product is properly packed and moved into storage warehouses within 5 days of completion of manufacturing / customer source inspection.
• Maintain traceability of hardware during packing process.
• Complete hazardous waste disposal tasks in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate with material control team on movement of product to and from warehouses.
