Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Simsbury, CT is seeking an Assembler to join the team responsible for producing high-quality energetic assemblies in line with engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.

You will support safety, quality and on-time delivery for Aerospace and Defense markets, reporting to the Production Supervisor of Linear & Transfer Systems on 1st Shift. A High School diploma is required and English reading ability is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
• Energetic, adaptable, and able to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual assembly per Manufacturing Instructions using hand tools and simple machinery.
• Load/unload components into automatic machines and handle powders.
• Clean, measure, cut, sample, spool, coil and pack product while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Job Description

The Assembler is an important member of the team that builds our products. Responsible for the production of high-quality energetic assemblies in accordance with specific engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions. Responsible for safety,quality and delivery ofproducts for ourAerospace and Defense markets. This role will report to the Production Supervisor of Linear & Transfer Systems in our Simsbury, CT location on 1st Shift.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual assembly as defined in Manufacturing Instructions using hand tools, simple machinery, etc.
• Loading and unloading components into automatic machines and powders into cups to press
• Clean, measure, cut, sample, spool, coil and pack product
• Maintain quality and accuracy requirements
