Job summary

Komatsu's Laurel, DE location seeks a seasoned Service Department Leader to maximize profit and customer satisfaction by guiding shop and field repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics of equipment.

You will manage daily operations, schedule workflows, mentor technicians, monitor KPIs, and ensure safety while delivering timely repair estimates and coordinating with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to everyday work activities.
• High school degree & some college preferred.
• Construction equipment and industry knowledge.
• Some excavating and grading knowledge.
• Knowledge of software and technology applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the employee and work environment.
• Develop and execute plans to achieve department goals for quality and efficiency.
• Manage accounts receivables as defined in business plan and operate within policy guidelines.
• Lead daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, technician development, monitoring KPIs.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians to build a high-performing service team.
• Work with factory representatives to ensure warranty campaigns are completed.
• Oversee parts orders and close out work orders and invoicing within policy.
• Maintain communication with customers by providing repair estimates, scheduling, and completion dates, and obtain approvals for all related actions.
