Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years HD truck or Automotive related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with all business contacts and ensures a positive open communication culture.
• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors service department staff.
• Ensures employees maintain a professional appearance, work safely, and follow policies.
• Develops employees through hands-on and offsite training to fill future openings internally.
• Completes evaluations timely as described by position descriptions.
• Create succession plans for key positions in the department including Service Manager.
• Fosters teamwork within the department and with other departments.
• Prepares and administers an annual service department budget and plan.
• Sets daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals and tracks progress.
• Travels to customer locations to develop relationships for future business.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
