Job summary

K&A Appliance is seeking a Service Coordinator to oversee the service operations of our appliance store in Lancaster, PA. You will coordinate a small team of technicians and staff to ensure high-quality, timely service for customers' appliances.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a valid PA driver's license, and experience in appliance or retail repair. This is a full-time onsite position with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Experience in appliance/retail repair industry preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Be available to work Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm, Fridays occasionally until 7pm and possibly 1 Saturday every 4 weeks from 9am to 4pm.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to service and delivery operations.
• Must have a valid PA Driver's License and be able to produce it at the time of the interview.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations of the service department including service technicians.
• Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and timely service processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize service efficiency, ensuring timely completion of tasks and daily operations.
• Resolve customer complaints or elevate issues as necessary, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with other departments, mostly Delivery & Customer Check-out.
• Document & track current inventory of parts in order to determine what is already in stock, maintain certain levels of product & order parts needed to accomplish service repairs.
• Order & track parts needed for the Service Department
• File warranty claims with manufacturers in a timely fashion.
• Bill & collect payments from customers for non-warranty service work & parts.
