Job summary

Mercer Advisors is seeking a Service Operations Associate I in Walnut Creek, CA. This role supports the Client Service department by handling administrative tasks, money movements, and custodial interactions in a centralized queue, enabling a seamless client experience.

It pairs with Relationship Managers to ensure accurate execution and regulatory compliance. The position offers a clear path to Associate II and III, with a base pay range noted and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two to Four years of job related experience in financial services.
• Experience in an office environment with a customer service focus helpful.

Responsibilities

• Process client paperwork, forms, and documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
• Execute money movement requests, including wires, ACH transfers, and journal entries, per policies.
• Monitor and manage service requests in a centralized queue; escalate as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications in CRM and custodial platforms.
• Liaise with custodians and third‑party platforms to resolve issues and facilitate transactions.
• Stay current on custodial procedures, platform updates, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance and internal controls for operational activities.
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Wealth Advisors to support client service delivery.
• Collaborate with compliance, financial planning, and investment operations for alignment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
• Identify and report operational inefficiencies; document SOPs; support onboarding.
