Position Purpose

The Service Operations Assistant supports front-end operations by assisting with customer service, associate support, store administration, operational compliance, and service execution. This position helps ensure a positive customer experience, efficient checkout operations, and adherence to company policies and procedures while supporting the Service Operations Manager and front-end leadership team.

Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations

• Assist in coordinating daily front-end activities to ensure efficient customer service operations.
• Support checkout lane coverage and monitor customer flow throughout the day.
• Assist with customer service desk operations as assigned.
• Ensure front-end areas remain clean, organized, and customer-ready.
• Support implementation of company service initiatives and operational programs.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a customer-first culture.
• Assist customers with inquiries, returns, exchanges, refunds, and service-related concerns.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and escape concerns when appropriate.
• Support store programs, loyalty initiatives, and promotional events.
• Maintain a professional and positive customer experience.

Associate Support

• Assist with training and mentoring front-end associates.
• Provide operational support and guidance to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Promote adherence to customer service expectations and company standards.
• Support daily communication between associates and department leadership.
• Help reinforce company policies and procedures.

Cash Handling & Operational Controls

• Assist with front-end cash accountability procedures.
• Support register audits, till counts, cash pickups, and balancing activities as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with company cash-handling policies.
• Monitor front-end operational controls and report discrepancies appropriately.
• Support efforts to minimize financial losses and operational risks.

Compliance & Store Support

• Assist with execution of company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Support compliance with age-restricted sales, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports as assigned.
• Assist leadership with administrative and operational projects.
• Promote workplace safety and loss prevention practices.

Leadership Support

• Assist the Service Operations Manager with daily operational responsibilities.
• Support staffing plans and work assignments based on business needs.
• Help coordinate front-end activities during peak business periods.
• Assume additional responsibilities as necessary to support store operations.
