Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Service Supervisor to support front-end operations and deliver exceptional customer service across the store in Sanger, Texas. This role provides leadership to front-end associates and helps drive service standards while ensuring adherence to company policies.

You will supervise check stands, self-checkout and courtesy services, oversee staffing, and support opening/closing and shift transitions.

Position Summary

The Service Supervisor is responsible for supporting front-end operations and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the store. This role provides leadership and direction to front-end associates, assists with daily operations, monitors service standards, and helps drive customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations

• Supervise daily front-end operations, including check stands, self-checkout, customer service, and courtesy services.
• Ensure proper staffing levels to support efficient customer flow.
• Monitor checkout operations to reduce wait times and improve service efficiency.
• Support opening, closing, and shift transition activities.
• Maintain front-end organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a customer-focused culture.
• Respond to customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist with service recovery efforts and issue resolution.
• Promote customer loyalty through positive interactions and excellent service.
• Support customer service initiatives and performance goals.

Leadership & Associate Development

• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to front-end associates.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and daily supervision of associates.
• Monitor performance and provide feedback to improve service levels.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Support scheduling and labor management activities as assigned.

Cash Handling & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with cash handling and till accountability procedures.
• Assist with audits, cash reconciliation, and operational controls.
• Monitor register operations for accuracy and compliance.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor front-end performance metrics and service levels.
• Ensure equipment, registers, and self-checkout systems are functioning properly.
• Assist with implementing operational improvements and process efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote a safe environment for associates and customers.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and security programs.
• Address operational concerns and elevate issues as needed.
• Support audits, inspections, and corrective action plans.
