Job summary

Scott & Associates, PC is seeking a Service of Process Team Lead for our Plano, TX-based team. This full-time clerical role handles multi-state service of process, supervises process servers, and coordinates with offshore vendors.

Strong attention to detail and legal terminology knowledge are essential. You will work in a high-volume legal recovery environment, with compensation in the $20.00–$23.00 hourly range and solid benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in service of process or the legal field.
• Knowledge of legal terminology.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with proper grammar and punctuation.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and basic office equipment; internet research.

Service of Process Lead

Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly

We are seeking a motivated Service of Process Team Lead to join our Plano, TX-based team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee service of process efforts in all assigned states
• Manage process server action items related to service of process
• Coordinate with off-shore vendor managed service providers to transition skip tracing and service efforts
• Review of inventory for reissue of suit
• All other duties as assigned by the Remote Office Manager or Senior Manager, Legal Operations

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to work efficiently with excellent attention to detail in a high-volume fast paced environment
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in service of process or the legal field
• Knowledge of legal terminology
• Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point; ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, and computer; proficient with internet research
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
• Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
