Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Plant Operations Technician to maintain the physical plant and related equipment for the NMH unit. The role focuses on routine, preventive, operational and emergency services for facilities and equipment.

Key duties include preventive maintenance, work order completion, life safety equipment upkeep per NFPA, and documentation. A minimum five years experience and HS Grad are required; union considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• HS Grad/EQUIVALENT is the minimum education requirement.
• Minimum of five years of experience required.
• Desirable plant operation & maintenance experience and knowledge of safety management.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
• Completes assigned work orders.
• Maintains life safety equipment per NFPA; prepares documentation.
• May document file and transport all archive items (NON-H.I.M).
• Carry house pager and complete tasks.
• Document and file all equipment manuals.
• Troubleshoot daily problems as needed.
• Move offices and furniture.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Summary:

• Desired: Plant operation & maintenance experience. Knowledge of safety management.OE-2 preferred.
