Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership, is seeking an entry-level Service Mechanic Laborer in our Concord, NC branch.

After 90 days of employment, you will be considered for the Hale Trailer Inc. Mechanic Apprentice Program. This program trains you under experienced trailer mechanics to become a Mechanic 'C' in twelve months, then progress to Mechanic 'B' after 24 months, and Mechanic 'A' after 36 months, provided you remain in good standing and meet all training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and support them on various jobs.
• Perform tasks efficiently, accurately, professionally, and safely, adhering to all company policies and regulations.
• Unload materials safely and promptly.
• Operate forklifts safely, including stacking and unstacking containers and handling trailers.
• Wash trailers using power washers and brushes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe handling of trailers, tractors, containers, and related equipment is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus; training will be provided.
• Valid driver's license with no violations in the past 3 years is a plus.
• Professional, motivated, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to safety and company policies.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and physical.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
