ServiceMaster Services in Richmond, VA seeks a Service Manager to oversee 5-15 accounts and lead a team of 50-100 employees. You will report to the area manager and drive high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with leadership to achieve operational excellence, manage schedules, budgets, and performance, and build strong client relationships. This role requires flexible hours, including some weekends, and a commitment to outstanding service.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management.
• Experience managing a full-time and part-time hourly workforce.
• Ability to manage budgets and multi-location operations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration at all levels.
• Customer service mindset with problem-solving ability.
• Highly organized with strong time management.
• Janitorial industry experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, secure, and safe environments for clients and staff.
• Develop and execute effective cleaning plans addressing absenteeism.
• Train, motivate, and develop supervisory and production staff.
• Manage staffing levels, schedules, plans, time & attendance, and labor budgets.
• Monitor and control inventory of equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Ensure financial performance by achieving P&L goals for each account.
• Conduct regular inspections to uphold standards.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth and customer retention.
• Support Operations Managers during start-ups and staffing/resource sharing.
