Job summary

Delmarva Linen Service, Inc. is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead a standalone local service-based operation. You will mentor, direct production, maintenance, warehouse and back office, and drive a safety-minded culture.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, budgeting and P&L experience, and the ability to motivate a multi-functional team while delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have an excellent driving record.
• Able to work overtime including Saturdays.
• Must be a quick Learner and eager to learn new industries.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen when required.
• Must be committed to community involvement.
• Must have budgeting and P&L experience.
• Must believe in environmental stewardship.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Formal Education Preferred: a four-year degree or at least 3 years' experience as a business operating manager.
• Must possess a positive attitude.
• Able to lead and motivate by example.
• Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and associates.
• Must have a self-starter who is good at identifying and leveraging opportunities as they arise in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Value and promote a safety minded culture.
• Coordinate and ensure all corporate training and procedure guidelines are being met for all associates.
• Oversee company assets including: Building, processing equipment, delivery fleet, and inventory.
• Lead in a team-driven environment.
• Manage multi-functional areas, such as: Processing Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Office Administration, and Distribution.
• Lead and motivate by example.
• Conflict resolution and training of staff.
• P&L responsibility.
• Goal setting, delegate and follow-up.
• Communicate professionally with all levels of management.
