Job summary

Westminster Management is seeking a Service Manager to lead the maintenance department for an assigned community, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment for residents and staff. You will oversee grounds, custodial work, preventive and emergency maintenance, and work closely with the Property Manager to support overall operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years full-time maintenance experience in multifamily property or five years in property management.
• Knowledge of work safety habits.
• Ability to manage and supervise maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with residents, guests, visitors, and staff.
• Monitor maintenance work, service requests, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Assign work to maintenance staff and ensure completion safely and promptly.
• Coordinate with managers regarding concerns about the community.
• Evaluate cost-benefit between in-house work and contractors.
• Monitor vendor contracts and maintain maintenance reports and documentation.
• Provide training and mentoring to maintenance staff.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Model professional appearance and adhere to company policies.
• Oversee direction and supervision of at least two full-time employees.
