Job summary

Bobcat of Indy, a full-service Bobcat dealership, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service department and drive customer satisfaction. You will manage staff, set goals, oversee repairs, and ensure timely, quality service for customer and company equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of management experience in construction or equipment service, strong leadership, and a customer-focused mindset. Monday–Friday dayshift with opportunities for advancement within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a field or service technician preferred.
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily operation of the Service Department.
• Maintain an adequate and appropriate staff of qualified, trained, and customer-facing service technicians.
• Conduct regular meetings to compare performance with standards and goals; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Implement competitive compensation and incentive programs for all service job functions.
• Provide quality service in a timely manner for both customer and company equipment.
• Determine repair methodologies and job flows to improve effectiveness and efficiency and customer happiness.
• Establish and maintain customer contacts to ensure good relationships and promote service work.
• Responsible for warranty service and optimize reimbursement from vendors.
• Develop/schedule sales and expense budgets in cooperation with the Shop Foreperson and Branch Manager.
• Forecast capital expenditures to maintain departments and improvements.
• Develop/maintain service efficiency and management reports and methods.
• Ensure shop condition and housekeeping are up to standard.

Bobcat of Indy is a full-service Bobcat Dealership. We specialize in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. Bobcat of Indy offers parts as well as both mobile and shop service, and a full line of concrete supplies.

Bobcat of Indy is looking for a Service Manager. If you have previous experience working on construction/ag equipment, have management experience, and are looking to expand your knowledge and career with Bobcat equipment.

Monday - Friday dayshift

Responsibilities

• Handle the daily operation of the Service Department.


• Maintain an adequate and appropriate staff of qualified, trained, and customer-facing service technicians.


• Conduct regular (not less than monthly) meetings to compare performance with standards and goals; conduct annual performance reviews.


• Implement competitive compensation and incentive programs for all service job functions.


• Provide quality service in a timely manner for both customer and company equipment that results in an efficient, profitable, and organized department.


• Determine repair methodologies and job flows to improve the effectiveness, the efficiency, and customer happiness.


• Establish and maintain customer contacts to ensure a good working relationship with customers and promote customer service work.


• Responsible for all warranty service to insure fair and equitable treatment of the customer and the company. Optimize warranty reimbursement from vendors.


• Develop and schedule sales and expense budgets in cooperation with the Shop Foreperson and Branch Manager.


• Capital expenditures will be forecast in order to maintain the various departments and assist in their improvement.


• Develop/maintain all service efficiency and management reports and reporting methods.


• Responsible for the condition of the shop including keeping the shop equipment (including vehicles) in good repair and maintaining proper housekeeping.


• Align with all governmental rules and regulations (OHSA, EPA).

Qualifications

• 3-5 years management experience preferred.


• Prior experience as a field or service technician preferred.


• A team orientation with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.


• Personable, problem solver, a leader, ethical, intelligent and able to function calmly in stressful situations.


• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, other department personnel, peers and management.
