Job summary

DXP is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service department, directing technicians and coordinators to ensure safe, efficient completion of service jobs.

The role requires 7–10 years in pump or rotating equipment, plus proven staff leadership and the ability to drive customer-focused proposals, with travel to client sites and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive (7-10 years minimum) experience in pump and/or other rotating equipment.
• Employee management experience.
• Ability to motivate team and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the work of Service Coordinators and Technicians to complete service jobs.
• Develops and improves standards for the Service Department.
• Administers safety, technical, and process training for the department.
• Organizes shop operations and advises VP Operations on staffing.
• Monitors service dept. to maximize manpower utilization and meet customers' needs.
• Collaborates with Sales to prepare technical proposals and support customers.
• Works with Safety Coordinator to ensure that safety policies are followed.
• Partners with Customer Service Manager to drive long-range service goals.

Responsibilities of the Service Manager include but are not limited to:

• Plans and directs the work of the Service Coordinators and Service Technicians, placing particular emphasis on the successful completion service jobs
• Continually improves and develops standards for the Service Department
• Administers safety, technical, and process training as required for department
• Organizes shop to accomplish operational goals and advises VP Operations on staff requirements
• Monitors Service Department to ensure efficient use of manpower and compliance with customers' requirements
• Works with Sales Professionals to prepare technical proposals and support customer needs
• Works with the Safety Coordinator to ensure that the service department operates according to
• Company Safety policies, both in the shop and in the field
• Works closely with the Customer Service Manager to develop and accomplish long-range operating and service sales growth goals

Qualifications of the Service Manager include but are not limited to:

• Extensive (7-10 years minimum) experience in pump and/or other rotating equipment
