Altec is seeking a Service Manager in Birmingham, AL to lead a diverse service team and reinforce service group processes. You will plan, organize, and budget, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction with travel up to 50% locally.

The role demands leadership experience, strong problem solving, and excellent communication and customer service skills in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and three years of leadership experience OR five years leadership with a HS diploma.

Responsibilities

• Foster team spirit and maintain a successful Service Group within Altec.
• Lead a service team of Administrative, Supervisory, Material, Service, Technical and Sales Associates.
• Reinforce Altec Service Group processes.
• Plan, organize and budget, manage revenue and expenses.
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
• Travel up to 50% locally, with some non-local assignments.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

• High School Diploma/GED is required

The successful incumbent is familiar with a variety of field service concepts, practices, and procedures. A Service Manager relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, leading and directing the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Perform Managerial responsibilities such as planning, organizing and budgeting, revenue and expense.
• Ensure that all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
• Travel up to 50% locally, with some non-local also required.
• All other duties assigned.
