The Pond Guy in Armada, Michigan is seeking a Service Lead Applicator who enjoys outdoor work and building relationships with customers. This full-time, year-round position involves applying aquatic treatments, managing pond health, and providing exceptional customer service.
An ideal candidate will have some knowledge in chemical application, although training will be provided. The role requires excellent communication skills, organization, and the ability to operate necessary equipment.

We are looking for someone who loves working outdoors and enjoys building relationships with customers. As a Service Lead Applicator, you'll spend your days helping customers improve the health and appearance of their ponds and lakes. You'll apply aquatic treatments, install and service fountains and aeration systems, and work independently to provide exceptional service. Our Service Lead Applicator is critical to providing our customers with quality service. You’ll get detailed, on-the-job training to master processes regarding our products and customer service procedures.
Don’t know about ponds? That’s ok! We provide all the training you need to excel. We utilize an interactive combination of hands-on and visual training to ensure everyone fully understands The Pond Guy’s proactive approach to pond management. Don’t worry, all training is paid.

Because this position involves a variety of tasks, the physical requirements for both in-office and in-the-field environments are necessary. The service lead applicator role requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk, and looking at a computer screen for long periods. This position also requires the ability to swim, perform repetitive motions for extended periods; demonstrate manual dexterity when working with small components; frequently bend, stoop, and stand for long durations; lift, lower, and carry packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs; and handle packages up to 150 lbs with assistance. In the field, expect adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, etc., for portions of the position that must be completed in these circumstances.
We need a Service Lead Applicator with a positive attitude, for whom the words “can’t” and “impossible” are not part of your vocabulary. You'll learn quickly, retain a lot of information, and offer exceptional customer service while continually adding value to the organization beyond day-to-day tasks.
While this is a year-round position, from April through September, you must be available to work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Due to traffic and weather conditions, as well as ensuring compliance with treatment regulations, there are opportunities for overtime during April through September, extending past 6 p.m. During peak season, there are few to no Saturdays. The remaining months will have a Monday through Friday schedule. We are hiring immediately.
