Job summary

Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking a Service Foreman to lead a team of technicians across our Illinois network. You will mentor staff, ensure quality repairs, and uphold safety and customer service standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

As a family-owned business, we value teamwork, growth, and accountability. You’ll coordinate with dispatch, manage shop operations, and provide training on latest equipment and OEM guidelines to keep trucks on the road safely.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a diesel or truck repair environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and diesel systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Deep commitment to delivering high-quality work and prioritizing safety.
• Proficient with repair order systems and service management software.
• Fundamental welding and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repair progress through the Dealer Management System and communicate with dispatch.
• Serve as a liaison between technicians, service staff, and customers to minimize delays.
• Communicate with customers requiring technical expertise with clarity and professionalism.
• Monitor shop tools and facilities to maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with Elite Support standards.

Shift Available:

• This position will work Thursday-Sunday, day shift.

• Oversee repair progress through our Dealer Management System, ensuring jobs stay on track and communicating proactively with dispatch.
• Serve as a liaison between technicians, service admin staff, and customers to keep operations running smoothly and minimize delays.
• Communicate with customers requiring technical expertise, providing updates with clarity and professionalism.
• Monitor shop tools and facilities to ensure everything is safe, clean, organized, and compliant with Elite Support standards.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in a diesel or truck repair environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and diesel systems
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Deep commitment to delivering high-quality work and prioritizing safety in fast-paced environments
• Proficient with repair order systems and service management software
• Fundamental welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to lead by example and maintain a productive, team-oriented environment

Certifications/Licenses Needed:

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet insurance requirements; Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is highly preferred
• HVAC certification required
• Willingness to obtain a minimum of 50% DTNA expert-level certifications is required
• Cummins IS engine training required; other manufacturer credentials are strongly recommended

Pay Range: $56,193.28 - $84,289.92 per year with incentive eligibility.
