Truck Centers, Inc. in Foristell, MO, seeks a skilled Diesel Mechanic for 2nd shift (3:30pm–12:00am) with rotating Saturdays. You will perform repairs on medium- to heavy-duty trucks, document findings, and ensure quality workmanship.

The role requires 3+ years of shop experience, a valid driver’s license, and ownership of your own tools. CDL Class A preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and onsite training at our Troy & South Bend campuses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of medium- to heavy-duty truck service experience in a shop setting or military installation.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A with air brake endorsement preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality work.

Responsabilités

• Perform high-quality repairs according to OEM, warranty, and dealership standards.
• Read repair orders, observe vehicle operation, obtain diagnostics, identify root causes, plan procedures, and repair as authorized.
• Repair engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electronics and more.
• Document diagnostic findings, repair status, and work performed for warranty processing.
• Coordinate with Parts, Shop Foreman, and Service Admin for parts and status updates.
• Perform quality checks on all work and road-test vehicles to verify fixes.

Job Description

Truck Centers, Inc. is continually growing, and that means we have an ongoing need for Service Technicians and Certified Diesel Mechanics to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you are a vital part of our Service department and essential to getting our customers back on the road. At our Foristell location, you'll enjoy the perks of a state-of-the art dealership with an air conditioned shop!

Shift Available:

• This position will be 2nd shift from 3:30pm-midnight with rotating Saturdays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Perform consistent, high-quality work according to OEM, warranty, and dealership standards.
• Read repair orders, observe and listen to vehicle operation, obtain diagnostics information, identify root cause malfunctions, plan work procedures, and perform necessary repairs on a vehicle as authorized.
• Perform general and major repair of all truck systems including, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electronics, and more.
• Write thorough, organized documentation of diagnostic findings, repair status, and work performed using Service Notes to aid customer communication and warranty processing.
• Communicate with Parts department to obtain and verify necessary parts as well as Shop Foreman and Service Administration team regarding status updates or requests.
• Perform quality checks of all work performed.
• Road test vehicles to ensure the repairs performed have resolved the customer's complaint(s).

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• Experienced tech with a minimum of 3years mechanical medium- or heavy-duty truck service experience in a shop setting or military installation
• Valid Driver's License with ability to meet insurance requirements is required
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; Class A CDL highly preferred
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to providing quality work
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Candidates must have their own tools; TCI provides specialty and OEM-required tooling for on-site, communal use
