Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking an Operational Controller – Service to partner with Finance and Operations. The role improves visibility across WIP, forecasting, quoting, inventory, billing, and service performance.

You will analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and translate findings into actions that boost execution and profitability. A strong finance foundation and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, cost accounting, or operational finance.
• Working knowledge of WIP/job costing, inventory, margin analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working directly with Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
• Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain WIP reporting and review open jobs for cost, revenue, margin, and aging.
• Develop and maintain service dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Support forecasting of revenue, gross margin, and working capital.
• Assist in reviewing service quotes, contracts, and margins to improve estimates.
• Support billing processes from job performance to invoicing and cash collection.
• Improve ERP data accuracy and create practical reporting tools (Excel/Power BI).
