Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Service Engineering Specialist II to join our team in Duluth, GA.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for all aftermarket technical and warranty inquiries supporting WEG products and customers. You will operate with limited supervision, evaluate warranty status, provide technical analysis of field problems, and coordinate field service with the Field Service Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• 4+ years in customer service or technical support roles.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary contact for aftermarket technical and warranty inquiries.
• Evaluates warranty status and analyzes field problems.
• Provides technical analysis and updates customers on returns process.
• Coordinates field service with the Field Service Supervisor.
• Issues credits and arranges replacements; works with other departments to resolve credits and warranty issues.
• Supports Quality lab with customer issue information and basic product startup assistance.

About The Role

WEG Electric Corp. has an a great opportunity for a Service Engineering Specialist II to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all aftermarket technical and warranty inquires supporting WEG products and customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operates with limited supervision.
• Emails necessary documentation to customer to process their requests.
• Evaluates warranty status on products.
• Analyzes technically, customer complaints.
• Provides technical analysis of the field problems.
• Supports customers with updates on their returns process.
• Supports the Quality lab with information on the customer issue or request.
• Issues credits and enters requests for replacements.
• Schedules and coordinate field service with the support of Field Service Supervisor.
• Contracts and issue purchase orders to service centers for field service work.
• Invoices and return product to customers, upon the supervisor approval.
• Issues factory claims for reimbursement of costs.
• Communicates with other departments to help resolve credits, warranty and service issues.
• Provides technical support to customers and end users, by phone or email. Supporting with basic start-up of WEG products, if necessary.
• Provides phone support to customers
• Coordinates site visits as well as repairs, corrections and modifications.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education

• High School diploma or GED. Associate Degree in electrical, electronic or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge / Training

• Strong knowledge and understanding of Department procedures, required.
• Microsoft Office intermediate knowledge, required.
• Knowledge of schematics, drawings and service manuals, required.
• SAP, intermediate.
• Product and troubleshooting knowledge, required.
• Reading schematics and drawings.
• Demonstrated competency in complex scenarios.
• Teaching others on product technical issues, sometimes required
• Knowledge to handle intermediate level service issues.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a customer service, technical support role is preferred.
