Job description

Our client is one of the nation’s leading machine manufacturers and they are looking to hire a Service Engineer for their Central Midwest region. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on CNC Machinery and field service experience.

Title: Service Engineer

Location: Northeast Region (remote position that will require 50% travel to the following states: MA, NH, MD, NJ)

Required Skills And Responsibilities:

• Provide customers with maintenance, repair, and installation assistance of machine tools via phone or going onsite.
• Create and update documentation of technical information.
• Develop ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to Service.
• Provide aid and training to Customer’s Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.
• Build strong customer service relationships with customers.
• Manage difficult customer situations in a positive manner and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time to customers.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
• Experience working with manufacturing machines.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence ladder diagrams.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Compensation:

• $83,000-111,000 annually.
• Overtime pay.
