Job summary

Hoffman Building Technologies, Inc. in Atlanta seeks an engineer to perform HVAC controls engineering, programming, and onsite support. The role includes developing as-built docs, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting with customers.

Qualifications include an AA in applied technology or equivalent experience; knowledge of HVAC DDC, Alerton/Tridium, and strong communication skills. Some travel may be required and the position is salaried with no overtime.

Job description

Perform engineering tasks as required to ensure proper system operability and completion of assigned projects or work orders in a timely manner. Typical tasks are; as built documentation, wiring diagrams, programming, graphic creations, onsite big picture and limited troubleshooting. Provide remote troubleshooting support for customers as required. This is a exempt salaried position (no overtime).

• Knowledge of HVAC DDC Control Theory & Applications
• Proficient with Alerton/Tridium Programming
• Experience with electronics and electrical circuits
• Computer hardware and software skills
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Strong communications and interactive skills

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

• AA degree in applied technology (preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• HVAC and/or Mechanical systems experience
