Job summary

Cornel's Plumbing, Heating & Air is hiring an experienced Residential Service Electrician to join our Portland area team. This full-time role offers a weekday schedule, hands-on problem solving, and the opportunity to grow within a developing electrical department.

You will diagnose and repair residential electrical systems, install panels, inspect for safety, and work closely with plumbing and HVAC crews. An Oregon Journeyman license and five years of residential experience are required.

Qualifications

• Oregon Journeyman Electrician license.
• At least five years of residential electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of current Oregon electrical codes.
• Experience working independently in customers' homes.
• Clear communication with customers, dispatch, and fellow technicians.
• A valid driver's license.
• Residential home service experience; ServiceTitan is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential electrical problems, including circuit, lighting, outlet, breaker, and panel issues.
• Install and upgrade panels, service equipment, dedicated circuits, lighting, and other residential electrical components.
• Inspect homes for electrical safety concerns, outdated wiring, and grounding deficiencies.
• Explain findings, provide estimates, and help homeowners choose repair and upgrade options.
• Complete safe, code-compliant work that meets Cornel's standards for quality and professionalism.
• Support plumbing and HVAC teams on projects requiring electrical work.
• Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and service documentation.
• Keep job sites clean and your vehicle organized and stocked.
