Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships in Houston, TX is seeking a dependable Service Porter / Valet to keep the service drive moving and make a great first impression on every guest. This entry-level role offers real growth potential and aligns high standards of professionalism and customer care with the rest of the team.

You’ll greet guests, park and move vehicles, prep cars, and support advisors and technicians while upholding safety and quality on every shift.

Qualifications

• Entry point into automotive industry with real growth potential.
• No experience required for this role.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers warmly and set a positive tone for their visit.
• Park, stage, and retrieve vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move vehicles between service drive, shop, car wash, and lot to maintain flow.
• Wash, vacuum, and prep vehicles to a spotless standard before return.
• Keep service drive, lot, and customer areas clean and presentable.
• Assist advisors and technicians by shuttling vehicles, parts, and loaners.
• Protect vehicles with seat covers and careful handling to prevent damage.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dependable, energetic Service Porter / Valet to keep our service drive moving and make a great first impression on every guest. This is an excellent entry point into the automotive industry with real room to grow — and we hold our porters to the same standard of professionalism and customer care as the rest of the team.

What You’ll Do

• Greet every service customer warmly and immediately — you are often the first face a guest sees, and you set the tone for the entire visit
• Park, stage, and retrieve vehicles safely and efficiently, treating every car as if it were the customer’s most prized possession
• Move vehicles smoothly between the service drive, shop, car wash, and lot to keep work flowing without delays
• Wash, vacuum, and prep every vehicle to a consistent, spotless standard before it’s returned to the customer
• Keep the service drive, lot, and customer areas clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day
• Assist advisors and technicians by shuttling vehicles, parts, and loaners promptly when asked
• Protect every vehicle — use seat covers, floor mats, and careful handling to ensure zero damage and zero complaints

What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic — no experience required
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles a plus
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
