Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of White Plains is seeking a Service Dispatcher to plan and control the flow of service work within the dealership’s service department, ensuring timely, quality repairs and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Dealership Experience is required.
• Automotive knowledge/experience needed!

Responsibilities

• Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
• Assign work to the correct technician skill level
• Ensure that technicians follow warranty procedures
• Review hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
• Ensure technicians complete the multi-point vehicle inspection forms
• Complete a dispatch log daily and turn into Service Management at end of shift
• Maintain a record of carryover vehicles
• Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department
• Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
• Other duties as required
