Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Service Desk Technician (Associate-Level) to join our team in Adelphi, MD.

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have an active DoD Security Clearance.
  • Position is non-remote (relocation incentive available).

The Service Desk Technician (Associate-Level) will serve as the face of our team, interacting directly with users and stakeholders to resolve Tier I and Tier II technical issues for the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II support for hardware and software issues.
  • Recommend system modifications to improve usability of Information Systems and network resources.
  • Route and escalate requests to Tier III and other teams for quick resolution.
  • Collaborate with network services, software engineering, and application development teams to restore service and resolve core issues.
  • Work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions based on existing and new requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have an active DoD Security Clearance.
  • High School Diploma with 2+ years of relevant IT or Service Desk experience.
  • IAT Level II Certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
  • Within 6 months of start date, must obtain Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience documenting technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience in a Department of Defense environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability.
