Service Desk Technician

Location: Frankfort, KY

Job Description:

Quantum Solutions provides IT solutions and consulting services for a diverse range of clients. We offer competitive hourly wages, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Desk Technician to join our team onsite in Frankfort, KY.

The Service Desk Technician will deliver exceptional desktop support and troubleshooting services to end-users, ensuring technical issues are resolved efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Schedule: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm EDT, Monday - Friday. Some Saturdays are required.

Business Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday 7:30 am - 1:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support including onsite and remote troubleshooting.
  • Support Windows 7 and 10 operating systems, network drive mapping, and Global Protect.
  • Assist with NAS knowledge and Office Suite applications (especially Outlook 2013+).
  • Support applications such as Adobe and Java.
  • Use ServiceNow for ticketing and knowledge base documentation.
  • Reset passwords and manage user accounts with Active Directory.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and simply.
  • Maintain professionalism and empathy when assisting customers, especially those upset or frustrated.
  • Maintain perfect attendance and adhere to scheduled hours.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of IT help desk or desktop support experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with hardware setup, configuration, and installation.
  • Knowledge of Windows 7 and 10 OS.
  • Ability to support network drives and Global Protect VPN.
  • Proficiency with Office Suite, especially Outlook 2013+.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (preferably ServiceNow) and documentation.
  • Experience with Active Directory for password resets and user management.
  • Ability to work calmly and empathetically with upset customers.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, trainable, and able to work independently and in a team.
  • Perfect attendance required.
