Service Desk Technician

Frankfort, KY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quantum Solutions provides IT solutions and consulting services for a diverse range of clients. We offer competitive hourly wages, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Desk Technician to join our team onsite in Frankfort, KY.

The Service Desk Technician will deliver exceptional desktop support and troubleshooting services to end-users, ensuring technical issues are resolved efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

LOCATION: Frankfort, KY

SCHEDULE:7:30 am-4:30 pm EDT, Monday-Friday. Some Saturdays are required.

BUSINESS HOURS:Monday-Friday 6:30 am-6:00 pm, Saturday 7:30 am-1:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Windows 7 and 10 operating systems, network drive mapping, and Global Protect.
  • Assist with general NAS knowledge and Office Suite applications (especially Outlook 2013+).
  • Support common applications such as Adobe and Java.
  • Utilize ServiceNow ticketing system for issue tracking and knowledge base documentation (preferred).
  • Reset passwords and manage user accounts using Active Directory.
  • Communicate technical information in a clear and simple manner.
  • Exhibit professionalism and empathy when assisting customers, particularly those who may be upset or frustrated.
  • Maintain perfect attendance and adhere to scheduled hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year IT experience in Help Desk or Desktop Support roles.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
  • Computer equipment configuration, setup, and installation experience.
  • Experience with Windows 7 and 10 operating systems.
  • Ability to map network drives and support Global Protect VPN.
  • Familiarity with Office Suite applications, especially Outlook 2013 or higher.
  • Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Experience in ticketing software (preferably ServiceNow) and knowledge base documentation.
  • Experience with Active Directory (password resets and user management).
  • Ability to work calmly and empathetically with upset or frustrated customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, trainable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Perfect attendance is required.
