Job summary

Summit 7 is seeking a Service Desk Analyst in Virginia to provide frontline IT support for core Microsoft 365 apps and enterprise services. The role requires monitoring backups, user management in Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Azure AD, with basic network and remote access support.

You will document changes and communicate status to clients. The position offers full-time exempt status, a TS/SCI with Poly clearance, competitive salary in the $50,000–$65,000

Qualifications

• IT support experience is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud apps.
• Ability to document incidents and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for core business applications and operating systems.
• Monitor and support backups.
• Manage Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Azure AD.
• Basic network support: WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi.
• Basic remote access support: IPsec/VPN, RDS, etc.
• Monitor alerts and create service tickets.
• Document changes to client environments.
• Communicate with clients about incident progress and outages.

Essential Functions

• IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
• Monitoring and support of Backups
• Management of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Cloud App Security, Intune, and Azure Active Directory
• Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, and security
• Basic remote access solution support: IPSEC & SSL VPN, Remote Desktop Services, etc.
• Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets
• Consistently documenting changes and updates to client environments
• Communication with clients as required; keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages
