Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, home medical equipment, or complex rehab preferred, but training is provided for a qualified candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry are essential.
• Excellent phone and written communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple requests.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office; Brightree experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take service requests from clients, caregivers, and referral sources and verify patient information.
• Verify insurance and obtain physician orders, prior authorizations, and medical records.
• Schedule service technicians and create work orders.
• Track open work orders through completion.
• Review completed work orders for accuracy and payer compliance before sending them to Billing.
• Enter repair parts and verify HCPCS codes in the billing system.
• Provide backup support to the Rehab Coordinator.
