Medicap Home Medical in Oskaloosa, IA is seeking a full-time Repair & Receiving Technician in the Mobility department. Starting at $23/hr based on experience, with a Mon-Fri schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

The role involves ordering, receiving, assembling equipment, and repairing mobility devices, while delivering to patients across our branch locations using a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Prior service/repair experience in home medical equipment or related field preferred, but training will be provided.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, position, and maneuver loads from 50 to 150 lbs., frequently with bending and twisting.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and ability to drive a company van.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain wheelchairs and mobility equipment.
• Replace batteries, tires, electronics, motors, controllers, and other components.
• Receive, unbox, assemble, and inspect new equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify orders, and enter inventory into our system.
• Coordinate and perform equipment pickup and delivery across our service area.
• Complete service and maintenance records and process billing documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.

Medicap Home Medical is seeking a full-time Repair & Receiving Technician for our Mobility department, based in Oskaloosa, IA. In this role, you'll support our Complex Rehab and Mobility team by ordering, receiving and assembling equipment, as well as repair, service, and deliver mobility equipment and wheelchairs, supporting patients across our branch locations using a company vehicle.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain wheelchairs and mobility equipment, including power chairs and manual wheelchairs
• Replace batteries, tires, electronics, motors, controllers, and other components
• Receive, unbox, assemble, and inspect new equipment to manufacturer specifications
• Receive incoming shipments, verify orders, and enter inventory into our system
• Coordinate and perform equipment pickup and delivery across our service area
• Complete service and maintenance records and process billing documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area

What We're Looking For

• Prior service/repair experience in home medical equipment or a related field strongly preferred, but we'll train a qualified candidate
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift, position, and maneuver loads from 50 to 150 lbs. frequently, with frequent squatting, bending, and twisting
• Valid Iowa driver's license and the ability to safely drive a company van
• Basic comfort with a smartphone, iPad, and desktop computer
