Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a Service Coordinator to support families of children birth to 3 with developmental delays in the Treasure Coast Early Steps program serving West Palm Beach and surrounding areas. You will coordinate services in homes, daycare, playgrounds, and other environments to meet each child’s needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, at least one year of direct experience with young children and families, and a willingness to drive as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (transcript and diploma required).
• 1 year of hands-on experience with young children and families in teaching, case management, or counseling.
• If your degree is in another field, you need at least 3 years of relevant experience with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact in assisting families in gaining access to available services in the community.
• Obtaining information on funding sources to help meet the needs of the children.
• Provide parent education, evidence-based program, giving strategies to caregivers during routine activities.

Skills

Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, health education, interdisciplinary sociology, early childhood, child development or special education

3+ years experience in case management, teaching or counseling for degrees other than the listed
